This was written on 1/28/17 when people were being detained at airports all over the US and stuck in airports all over the world, being denied entry into the US due to an executive order signed by the 45th President of the US that ban travel from 7 Muslim-majority countries - Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen - but he did not include the countries where the 19 terrorists in the Sept. 11 attacks were from - Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates, Myre points out. It is notable that the Muslim-majority countries not affected by Trump's immigration freeze were countries where Trump does business.

My modest commentary:
People who were granted legal visas and green cards are allowed to legally visit out country, set up residency, get jobs, pay taxes, be part of our communities in our country are now being barred from returning to their current country of residence, the US. Some are trapped abroad, unable to come back to their homes, families, jobs, schools, and communities. Some are trying to come to the US (again, legally) to visit family and right now, one woman is trying to get to her sister and family to help her deal with cancer, she is being detained at O'Hare and they're trying to send her back to her country of origin.
So, for those of you who have accused me of not giving Trump a chance, where is your line in the sand? When are you going to say "Well, I gave him a chance but this is just too far?" Does he have to hurt you or your family personally? Or are you going to grow some compassion and say that this is inhumane and cruel behavior? This is unacceptable and sadistic.
